Svala is a critically acclaimed Icelandic singer and songwriter, fashion icon, an artist and an awesome human being, signed with distribution via SONY DK.
Svala Björgvins or Kali or now know simply as SVALA, is an Icelandic singer and songwriter. She rose to major fame with her 2001 song, "The Real Me", from her album of the same name, released by EMI. In 1999 Svala signed with EMI, the biggest major music deal that an Icelandic artist had ever signed. She has placed songs in multiple tv-shows and films and she toured the world with her former band Steed Lord,
She has since then participated in countless adventures, for example being a judge in the Voice in Iceland and then she represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev after crushing the icelandic preliminaries.
In 2018 she released 2 singles, "For The Night" and "Karma" with great reviews and collaborated with multiple Icelandic artist such as Reykjavíkurdætur. RVKDTR with the song "Ekkert Drama". All her solo material is released under Sony Denmark, as she signed a distribution deal with them in 2018. In December 2018, Svala was featured on the track "Sex" with Baggalútur.
2019 is going to be a good one. She started of the year by having a burger named after her at the famous Hamborgarafabrikkan, wrote a song for the icelandic Eurovision preliminaries and released her newest collaboration "Skin 2 Skin" with the artist/producer Bomarz. The song is accompanied with a video where they travel to animated world of awesomeness.

To get her summer started she will be releasing a new song,
The song “Trinity” is a hypnotizing pop track with hazy synths and a unique bassline designed for the dancefloor. Written by Svala, Einar Egils, Logi Pedro, Unnsteinn Manuel and Amy Kuney in Iceland and Los Angeles. Lyrical content is truly original and talks about getting into heaven to go clubbing with your new crush.But is heaven the name of the nightclub or did they just die and go to heaven? Produced by Logi Pedro and Arnar Young Nazareth, they are bringing the sound of 2020 to this brand new Svala single.
She spends all her days writing and recording along, with her mind set on an EP with a personal twist where she will lay it all out for the world to hear. After a turmoil year and decades in the business, she most definitely has some things to say and this woman just can't stop writing and creating some beautiful pieces of art. Stay tuned.
