Birkir, an Icelandic singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and winner of Swedish Idol 2021, releases his powerful alternative soul pop song Go on.
"I wrote this song with some talented musicians in a writing camp in Iceland after refusing to change who I am as an artist in spite of a lot of pressure from some industry people. It’s about staying true to yourself, no matter what. With a blend of soul, pop, and R&B, it’s meant to empower and inspire."
BIRKIR BLÆR
Birkir Blær is a 24-year-old musician from Akureyri, but he has been living in Stockholm for the past few years.
An extremely versatile musician, extremely technical singer, guitarist, pianist, songwriter, arranger, producer, and he has worked quite a bit mixing for others.
Birkir does not want to pin down his music in one specific category, but gets inspiration from all sources, but most of all from soul, blues and r&b. The main focus for Birki is that there is great empathy and sincerity, both in song and lyrics.
